BODYBUILDING ADVICE: LEAVING THE EGO ASIDE

6

Your greatest hurdle towards your dream physique may not be catabolism, lack of nutrients, a broken limb, a bad joint or the price of protein foods but simply EGO. Ego can be your biggest enemy for several obvious reasons that I will illustrate using two examples:

KAI GREENE

Kai is the best entertainer and poser in pro bodybuilding today. All his twists and turns not only showcase his physique best onstage but also helps hide his structural flaws. He hasn’t much to learn to better show himself onstage but still he is taking posing lessons in a group consisting of lesser competitors than him. He is the world’s 3rd best bodybuilder he could probably have asked for private lessons but instead Kai is up there being schooled at what he does best among all bodybuilders in the world and that too in a group of people who aren’t even top amateurs.

The same for Arnold and Franco taking lessons from a ballet teacher. Ed Corney’s posing may be “dat’s what I call posing!” but its Arnold’s posing which caught the most attention not because he was the best built but because he posed to entertain the crowd, not only for the judges. I can go on and on on this topic. But I hope you get the picture now. Always keep an open mind when seeking knowledge. The best advice that can change your physique may not come from Hany Rambod but from a kid who hasn’t competed. Everybody is a source of knowledge.
